White beans with peas and asparagus

1 bag dried navy beans - soaked overnight.
5 garlic cloves crushed
1 red onion chopped
1tsp of chili flakes- spicy!
I added rosemary and thyme to taste

Add once beans are cooked
1 cup chopped asparagus
1 cup frozen beans

First caramelize your onions, add in crushed garlic, then herbs of choice, then parm rind- optional and then beans and cover with a mix of water and broth. Let cook for a million years on the stove, LOL. Kidding. It’s like a couple hours or still navy beans are soft. Add in veggies when beans are soft. Add to chicken or a grain. Enjoy! Finish with sea salt and black pepper!
